There are six core subjects taught during each academic year in addition to two non-core subjects worth ½ credits.

A total of 100% is equated for final grades. The passing grade is 60% for the final grade.

The calculations of the 40% of the Ministry of Education requirement of Egyptian Universities is as follows:-
The Total of 8 credits/800 x 40 = Percentage from 40%
(2 or 3 from grade 11 and 5 or 6 from grade 12)
SAT I Scores %
The passing mark for SAT I is 105016/00 for Egyptian universities, and is 900 for private Universities.
To calculate the percent, add the highest scores of the English and Math sections. Then ……
- divide the total by 1600 and multiply by 60 (if the student’s score ranges from 900 to 1080).
Or – divide the total by 1600 and multiply by 69 (if the student’s score is above 1090).
SAT II Scores %
The passing mark for SAT II is 1100 (The sum of two Subjects) for Egyptian universities and is 900 for private universities.
To calculate the percent, add the score of two subjects (i.e. Math and Biology) then divide by 1600 and multiply by 15.
(900 and above) /1600 x 15 = Percentage/15 %
Reports and Transcripts
Grade reports are given quarterly. If a student fails in any of the subjects, he/she has to go through a re-sit exam before the new academic year.
Reports or transcripts will not be handed out to students if they are overdue on library books or any unpaid fees.
