To graduate with a Pioneers American High School Diploma, and the Diploma to be certified by the AdvancED, the student must earn at least 22 to 26 units of credit, depending on when he or she entered the high school American division.
In order to meet the graduation requirements of Egyptian Ministry of Education, 8 full subjects (8 full credits) are required:-
If the student joined the department at grade 11, then 2 or 3 subjects with at least a unit of credit are taken from grade 11, and 5 or 6 subjects with at least a unit of credit are taken from grade 12 in addition to SAT I.
If the student joined the department at grade 12, only then the 8 subjects with at least a unit of credit are taken from grade 12 in addition to SAT I.
Success in Arabic, Religion and Civics (Thanaweya Ama) is a must for admittance in the Egyptian Universities (Public or private).
Students wishing to apply for Engineering and Fine Arts colleges must take SAT II (Math IC and any other subject from Chemistry, Physics or Biology)
Students wishing to apply for Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physical Therapy and Science colleges must takeSAT II (Biology and any other subject from Chemistry, Physics or Math IC)
According to Ministry of Education decree, students not taking any sciences are considered in Literature Department and must pass Thanaweya Ama exams in History, and Geography.
