Grading:

Yearly grades are weighed as follows:

  • 1st Quarter 25%
  • 2nd Quarter 25%
  • 3rd Quarter 25%
  • 4th Quarter 25%

A total of 100% is equated for final grades. The passing grade is 60% for the final grade.

For calculating the 40% of the Ministry of Education requirement of Egyptian Universities as follows:-

The Total of 8 credits/800 x 40 = Percentage/40%

(2 or 3 from grade 11 and 5 or 6 from grade 12)

SAT I Scores %

The passing mark for the SAT I is 104016/00.

To calculate the percent, add the highest scores of the English and math sections. Then ……

  • divide the total by 1600 and multiply by 60 (if the student will not be taking SAT II).

Or –     divide the total by 1600 and multiply by 50 (if the student will take SAT II).

SAT II Scores %

The passing mark for SAT II is 1100 (The sum of two Subjects)

To calculate the percent, add the score of two subjects (i.e. Math and Biology) then divide by 1600 and multiply by 10.

(1100 and above) /1600 x 10 = Percentage/10 %
